How do I find information on this site?
Just go to the search page and
select the category of hire you require and the area you wish this service to operate in.
Who is listed on this site?
You will find all the hirers that have visited this site and
added their information. We are always trying to find the best hirers for each category
and area.
What kind of information will I find?
Our Search results form shows a list of
all hirers for your category and area. This includes a description of the type of items
available for hire and all contact information. Plus a link to a website address where
available.

What information do I need to have ready?
The companies using our service list:-
- All their contact information,
- A description of the type of items they have
for hire (about 45 words)
- Plus their website address where available.
Do I need to have a whole range of items for
hire?
No not at all, if you have as few as one or two
items you can gain benefit from the way we show your information. If you use your
description section to inform anyone searching what you have to offer, your contact
details will be clearly available.
Do I need to have a website to link to?
If you have a large range of products and
services for hire, then a website may be an advantage. We offer our silver service to allow you to have a working link to a
webpage of your information on our site.

Editing Your Information
How do I edit my information on your site?
If you return to the 'Add Information' page and fill in
your Account Number and Pin on the logon page your details will display for you to edit.What happens if I lose my Account Number and Pin?
Please record this information safely, as due to the need to keep your
information secure, getting this information re-issued is complex.

page for more information.

Your Security
Will you pass on my contact details to third parties?
No we will not, we do reserve the right to use your email
address to inform you of changes and services on this site, but not for any other
marketing purpose.
Does HIRE IT OUT check out the hirers on this
site?
No we are unable to make checks on companies or their
products and have no legal liability for those finding or adding information on our site.
We recommend you check on the companies and the quality of their products before paying
for hire of any goods or services. Some products for hire will need to meet legal, safety
or quality standards, others companies even have insurance, to cover you during their
product's use.
Do you take credit cards?
No we are unable to do that at this time, your cheque for the
gold and silver service must clear before we link your new page to your basic details. To
aid your security when posting a pro-forma cheque in this way, we have chosen to give you
our full company address which can be confirmed at company house, rather than using a P.O.
Box address.

is the advantage of this Service?
The Silver Service allows you to have another whole page of
information on our site for only £20 per annum.
How will my Silver Service page display?
When a visitor searches for your type of hire service
and area your contact details and short discription will display. These include a
'website' link, If you are a silver service member this link will lead to your page.
Can I edit the information?
Yes
How long will it take for my page/s to be
changed?
As soon as you have pressed 'send' and refreshed
your screen, you should be able to search for and find your new page. |

What is the
advantage of this Service?
The Gold Service allows you to have another whole page of
information on our site for only £75. The page has your logo, colours and a picture of
your choice. It can also be registered with search engines.
What will my page be called?
Your page's URL will be hireitout.co.uk/gold/yourname
We advise that you keep ' yourname' as short as possible and make it easy to remember and
say...
If you wish to have your own company domain name eg.
www.yourname.co.uk we can arrange for the registration of your name and it's re-direction
to your pages for only £40 per annum. Please check out the
availability of your domain name at register .com
How does my page get registered on the search engines?
Your page will be made complete with meta-tags,
these are the labels for search engines. You can then register your page yourself, we can
do it for you, or you can find a service that will register it for you regularly. We
recommend that your page is registered with at least the top 15 search engines once a
month for best results.
How long will it take for my page/s to be
created?
We will keep you informed of progress and should
usually have your page ready for view within 14 days of your order.
Can I edit the information?
Yes you can, however these are hand made web-page and
changes will take up designer's time.
During the year 2,000 we will make small text changes free, the additional page charge
will be £50 and major changes to the page will be at the rate of £25 per hour. We will
issue a quote and verify your change requests before making any alterations to your site.
How long will it take for my page/s to be
changed?
We will usually make all small alterations
within 7 working days. We will inform you of update time when your change requests are
confirmed.
Are there any extra charges?
We charge just £25 per annum for up to 4 web
pages. This allows us to make small changes to your site, hold your space on our
server and maintain your domain name.What kind of information will I need to supply?
200 words of text.
We suggest that you include:
- Details about your company.
- The service/s you offer for hire.
- Special offers.
- The area you operate in.
- Your contact details.
We also require:
- Your company logo via email or post.
- Either a photograph in .jpg format, under 15KB
- Or an image in .gif format, under 15KB
- 20 keywords you would like to be found under
by search engines.

Where will my banner advert appear?
On the Search Results page, whenever someone
selects the category and area you are registered for.
What size and format does my advert need to be?
Banners must be 100 x 42 pixels. Please see our sample page for examples and download
one for size if you wish. The static images must be .gifs under 1.3KB and the animated
ones under 4KB
What do you charge for banner advertising?
At the moment these charges are simply based on
category and area

Will these charges go up?
Any existing contract will always be honoured
for it's term (Usually one year).
However the basic charges for new advertisers can be raised at any time.
The rates will always reflect the number of searches per category. |
